✨AESTE WEEK 6 (21-27 FEB 2022)✨

During week 6, we have a chance to visit King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok to borrow their spray dryer machine to transform our liquid shampoo into powder. This is for us to prepare the product ready to be compressed into tablets by using the compression moulding machine. Before the visit happens, we have to make a new batch of shampoo and test it at the lab to test if it can be used in the spray dryer machine. This step is to test if the shampoo after heated for 2 hours turns into white powder or not to prevent the mistakes.

The shampoo we brought to the university turned out into white powder as expected, so we are able to start with all the next steps.

• Liquid shampoo weight: 350ml.

• Bag weight: 5.57 grams

• Bag weight + fine powder: 76.28 grams

• Bag weight + chunks of powder: 18.63 grams

To use the Spray Dryer Machine to transform our liquid shampoo to powder, the numbers are as listed below :

• Temperature = 167 degree celsius

• Feed rate of liquid = Lag 8ml/ 1sec

• Pressure P = 0.25 MPa

• Air suction rate = 50Hz

Also, when we had a weekly meeting with our mentor, we were able to finalise our google form and send it out to the customer to know their preference about the shampoo. We are expected to receive around 100 respondents which 50 will be in aged 18-22 years old :
