During the holiday after we finished our Year 1, we came up with an idea to solve plastic bottles waste problem. From our research plastic bottles especially toiletry bottles take up the second largest space of waste. More than 552 million shampoo bottles ended up in landfills every year which each bottle leaks harmful chemicals into our environment along the way as it decomposes. From our interview, it shows that there are people who want to reduce the use of single-use plastic and are concerned about the environment. So, we came up with the solution which to provide an environmentally friendly alternative to beauty products while still delivering quality and organic ingredients.

We will be focussing on travelers and hospitels. As travelers cannot travel due to the covid 19 pandemic, we are going to mainly focus on hospitels in Bangkok to be our first group of customers or early customers.

From our insight, our interviewees carry toiletries when traveling. At the same time, they have faced problems when traveling. For example, toiletries are unportable, take up a lot of space, need to wait for them to dry before placing them in a small bag, can never use the entire thing, and once they have been used, they are not very sanitary.

According to our research, at the moment, the only shampoo bar available in Thailand is LUSH. Therefore, we are planning to be the first in Thailand to produce beauty products in tablet form. The first product we plan to focus on is the shampoo tablet which is easier to carry around when traveling and solves the user's pain point about spilling it in the luggage or taking a lot of space and weight. Single-use can be 100% dissolvable which solves the user's pain point about can't finishing the whole shampoo bottle and leaving the bottle behind when traveling. Since consumers have concerns in terms of reducing irritation, preventing fungus, and eliminating dandruff, all the ingredients are organic. The purpose of our business is to reduce waste and provide a healthier choice for the environment.

From our research, Thailand has an overall haircare market of 32.7 billion baht, of which shampoo products make up 64% of the total haircare market. In total, the market size of shampoo products is 20.9 billion baht.
