🤍 For this week, we discussed with our mentor about focus areas, marketing costs, demand of our customers, low fidelity prototype, and the number of students for each faculty and each university especially for engineering faculty and architecture faculty.
(https://docs.google.com/document/d/10zoSg2-yMIXZjHZAwIIoRCgIA47QO_ExzUTrPekylG4/edit) After we discussed, we found out that we need to do deeper and more specific research as what we did previous week is not deep enough for us to make a further decision. This would also help us create more effective details for our prototype.
🤍 What we have to do next week to get a better understanding of our customers and make further decisions about our project is scope down the freelancer customer into 4 faculties: Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Communication Arts and Faculty of Arts. This survey will make us know more about their expertise and job that most students are interested in which we will include these into our prototype. The job will be jobs that do not require advanced expertise, have high demand in the market, and the price per job is at around medium to high.
🤍 The question listed below is the important interview questions of our survey:
⚪️ How many hours are you willing to work in a freelance job per week?
(to predict how many jobs all freelancers on our platform can take per month)
⚪️ How much compensation do you expect per week?
(to see if the price they want are more expensive than freelancers on Fastwork or not)
⚪️ What are the criteria that you use to choose the platform?
(to know why they choose to be freelancers on those platforms)
⚪️ What are the skill sets you can do?
(to know what they can do, so we understand if they are qualified to do such job or not)
🤍 After we have gathered all the interview answers, we will create a spreadsheet and list out the information for each faculty as listed below:
⚪️ Number of job postings per month from other platforms and social media.
⚪️ Price offering in average from other platforms and social media.
⚪️ The commission fee which is possibly 10%.
⚪️ Number of capable student freelancers which is the percentage from the survey times the total number of students in that faculty.
⚪️ Number of reachable students which is the percentage from the survey times the total number of students in that faculty.
⚪️ Number of jobs served per month which is the minimum either from job posted or capable students.
⚪️ Amount of money that our platform will get from the commission(THB) which is commission times price offering.
⚪️ Total commission per job which is commission(THB) times job served.
